1. Music Therapy Groups
We provide a variety of group therapy sessions throughout central Maryland. These involves a group of people making music together, under the guidance of a board-certified music therapist, to address specific goals. This therapeutic approach can be beneficial for individuals of all ages and abilities.
Some examples of community groups include:

Wellness Retreat Groups for Businesses/Organizations

With music centered activities, we work towards self awareness, Stress management, and collaboration.

Community Music Groups for Adults with Disabilities

Building community and encouraging self-expression through music. Members share songs, play instruments, and make lasting connections.

Mental Health Groups

These groups focus on using music as a medium for expressing, connecting, and processing emotions within a supportive space.

2. Therapeutic Drumming
A music therapy drumming is a facilitated group drumming experience where participants, regardless of musical background, play percussion instruments together. The focus is on improvisation, rhythm exploration, and collective music-making, rather than on formal musical training or performance. Drum circles offer various benefits, including stress reduction, community building, and enhanced cognitive function
3. Community School Groups
Music Therapy groups in schools is a set number of groups provided within the school year that combine academic goals with music experiences. Teachers can collaborate with a Music Therapist to create complimentary music groups focusing on the current curriculum. Allowing students to learn while playing, singing, and dancing to music! These groups are available for students with or without IEPs.
