Two of our music therapists, Josh and Kerry, also offer music lessons for all ages and ability levels in a variety of styles and genres! Contact us today at email@example.com to schedule your free lesson!
Josh Brown, MT-BC: Offering a variety of instrumental music lessons. Not only is Josh a classically trained vocalist, but he plays many other instruments as well, including guitar, piano, mandolin, ukulele, trumpet and drums/percussion instruments. While Josh was attending Radford University to earn his bachelors in Music Therapy, he enjoyed leading music for student ministries on campus. Learning to play basic chords on the guitar to accompany group singing is a valuable skill that he loves to teach to others! Playing the cajon or djembe drum in this type of group is also tons of fun and something Josh enjoys teaching to others. Also while at Radford, Josh taught music theory and voice lessons to Performing Visual Arts high school students at the Governor’s School. He is a pro at understanding the unique learning styles of kids with disabilities, and his training in music therapy gives him the perfect skill sets for adapting music lesson material.
Kerry Devlin, MT-BC: Offering voice and piano lessons. Along with being a board certified music therapist, Kerry is also a coloratura soprano who has sung professionally in settings nationwide. She holds a BM in Voice Performance from Towson University, where she studied with Leneida Crawford. Her roles at Towson University include Adele in Die Fledermaus (2012), Little Red in Little Red’s Most Unusual Day (2011), and Narrator 2 in A Bird In Your Ear (2009). She has also performed nationally, singing the role of Harry in Albert Herring with the Intermezzo Young Artist Program (2010), Miss Silverpeal in The Impresario with the Bethesda Summer Music Festival (2009) and The Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel with the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival (2009). She has taught classical, musical theatre and pop voice lessons for the last three years for individuals of all ages and abilities.
